Doga!

I have long been an afisheeonardo of DOGA. A series of postures and poses that encourage good doggie health.

Downward dog is a particular favourite, and I think humans backs would be a lot better if they would do that whenever they stand up like we do! We're not stupid you know. Downward dog, followed by upward dog gets the spine ready for a good ball catch, race to the door, possum chase...whatever!

Here's me doing downward dog in the park

I also believe that the use of blocks can be good. I don't know what for. Ella, my editorial assistant has a block and left it on the bedroom floor. I wasn't quite sure what to do with it so I carefully aligned my head with it, while using the doona cover draped on the floor to balance my tail...so there you have it.

DOGA with HEADPHONES! Do ya reckon there might be a DVD in all this?

Pantxo

I have a paw friend. Pantxo. He is foreign. You pronounce his name PAN-CHO. Which is like mexican, but he's not. He's a labrador. His Mum takes him out when she exercises. She sent this email to a friend. Pantxo cut and pasted the important stuff to let me know about exercise

Took Pantxo for a walk yesterday – well I take him every day but yesterday we went to the park where I run aimlessly up and down the stairs until I nearly pass out. He hates stairs so I leave him at the bottom and he still hasn’t learned that when I run up those 37 steps I’m not abandoning him forever. He whines on the up and wags on the down so it’s like Oh no she’s leaving me she’s leaving me oh thank dog she’s coming back she’s coming back oh no she’s leaving me she’s leaving me oh phew here she comes she’s coming back oh no she’s leaving me she’s leaving me.
