Pussy Galore!

I received this kind missive from Sooty....cool cat extraordinaire! I like to share. Well except my meals, my toys,my basket, my Mum...um..
Hey Headphones,
I know you're just a dog, but anyone knows that chocolate is a killer when it comes to K-9 and feline digestion. You should know better and what about all the fuss you caused?
My old lady insists that I lick the end of an ice-cream but you see I much prefer pate which I can score from the neighbours next door. Just makes me purr with delight.
Anyway, mate - keep the snaking under control - we need to preserve our lifestyles, and making our housekeepers stay at home and fuss is not the answer to a long life on the sofa.
Sorry your paw got a No 1 blade, but you're a dog - suck it up!
PS – here is my photo – am I a bit gorgeous – this was taken first thing in the morning, before coffee
Yours

Lucy's Mum comments!
Headphones! What were you thinking?! You know that eating chocolate is against the doggy rules...didn't you ever go to Puppy Pre-school? Actually, I didn't go to training either but my Mummy Teyah reads sooo many books about dogs that she has it covered and lectures me on what I should and shouldn't be doing all the time ( lucky she rubs my belly while she does this or I'd have to just give her a wee nip.) Where was Dr Harry when your Mummy needed him? Stick to pigs ears ok? OR lizards....Love Lucy the Wonder Dog XXXX

DON'T DO THIS AT HOME KIDS!

My Mum got some chocolates for her birthday waaaaayyyyy back in September. From time to time, she would bring out the box and have one or two, or three. Last night, over a cup of tea, she savoured one, or two, or three, and then went upstairs to check her email. I have never done this before, I don't know why I did it really. I was alone, I was bored, I dunno..look up Canine Weight Watchers for excuses..but seeing the box on the coffee table..I just...I just..well...I just couldn't resist. Each morsel of Guylian chocolate melted in my mouth as I scoffed it down, 1,2,3,4,5,6,7... Dogs aren't born to hide boxes..so I just left it there..upturned...as we are also no good at putting them back.
Mummy came downstairs (she's become Mummy now) and saw the box...and looked at me...and saw the box...and looked at me...and got upset...
She rushed to the phone, and I heard
"My corgi donkey cross has just eaten 7 Guylian chocolates"
"vet response...something along the lines of YUMMY"
"yep...yep...aha...ok...yes...right..ok...right..thankyou"
I vomited on the Persian rug, for which I was praised (go figure) and we went to bed.
I don't know why she slept with her hand on me by the side of the bed all night, it must have been hard to do that. I didn't feel too good. I thought the7th was pure greed..and I was right.
This morning, she took me for a walk, and then to THE VET. He got a big thermometer and ...well, I don't want to talk about it. he had a listen to me talk from inside my chest (what's that about) and then got a big needle and Mummy held me while he stuck it in my leg and took....my....blood.
"This will tell us how badly his liver is affected...you were right Ella, dogs shouldn't eat chocolate....give me a call in an hour..take him home, and don't let him eat anything"
tick tick tick tick tick tick tick....
Mummy called the vet...I don't know what was said..but she made some phone calls to delay and cancel appointments and then I was back in THE CAR!!!!!!! But I was back at THE VET....They gave my paw a brazillian...and stuck something in it..OUTCHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH and then connected it to a big wine cask or something...and wrapped my paw in a blue thing..(Iguess cause I'm a boy!)
Years later.....well, that's dog years, in human terms, hours, Mummy came back and collected me and handed over $300 and bought me a squeaky toy and hugged me and brought me home...and here I am blogging. It hurts to type...it's the paw you see. But she told me to tell you. "Chocolate is toxic for dogs...never give dogs chocolate...it affects their liver and can kill them very quickly...and it's bloody expensive and if you ever do it again I'll kill you myself...especially with my birthday chocolates" I don't think she wanted me to tell you the last bit.
I'm going back to the lounge.

Lucy the Wonder Dog!

Hey, this is turning into RSVPooch! I am not a dating service...but Hey, I like this girl's personality!
Lucy Miller - Cavoddle - much loved by 8 year old Teyah, tolerated by
Teyah's brother 6 year old Kye.
Lucy is passionate about empowering other little puppies to "Love The Fur
They are In " and runs courses on helping dogs to deconstruct all the
ridiculous images of canines the media presents ( she is particularly
offended by the assertion that they all like to sniff other dog's bottoms
and chase postmen). (Editors note..um actually, I regard bottom sniffing as a perfectly acceptable assessment of future friendship!)
Lucy is fond of eating anything that drops on the floor or gets left behind
by a forgetful child and adores her plastic reindeer Santa left her last
year. :)
An Oscar for Oscar!

Morning dog people...I'd like to introduce a new friend, his name is Oscar...and Humans know him as a Maltese x Pomeranian.
Oscar is well travelled, having been born in Darwin, spending his teenage years on the sunshine coast in QLD and recently moving to Sydney to be part of the 'now' culture with his Mum and Dad Jodie and Wayne, and his brother Matt. Oscar is 10!
Oscar says..."i love to walk, eat, and be close to my family..I'm a blonde..but all boy!"

Friends are cool

Sooty the cat sent me flowers today. Hey, stop that, I have not gone over to 'the other side'. I know that dogs are supposed to feel about cats the way Jeannette feels about Kevin, ie, ya don't have to live with em to know you don't like em, but still. Sooty is way cool.
I also know dogs are supposed to prefer trees to flowers, but these are so nice I had to put them here....
Thanks Sooty...you rock!
